From Shadow to Shadow Review Dave Lee [UK] |

Phew! The Palers have really raised the bar for any future Palers' Projects CDs. So much talent and ingenuity. And fun too, that's From Shadow To Shadow. Gary, Keith, Mathew and Robin may be quite taken aback by this collection. However, to me it proves that Procol Harum music is out-there and organic, not gathering dust in an obscure museum. From Pursuit Of Happiness, that had us jigging around the room, to Typewriter Torment, that was truly bizarre. From SS Blues – very clever, guys – to Lime Street Blues – oh wow! very very clever! But our homburgs go off to George Bertok for bringing in The Worm And The Tree in under four minutes. Please please can The Oakes Brothers have a crack at it next time!
